Building your own PC is often the best way to get more performance for your money. But in October 2026, a "PC build under 100000" has to be planned carefully, because memory prices have jumped. This guide gives two complete parts lists with prices from Pakistani computer shops, explains what each one is good for, and shows where you can save.
Build 1: office and study PC, about Rs 1 lakh
This PC handles Office, browsing, online classes, video calls and light photo editing. It uses the processor's own graphics, so you do not need a graphics card.
| Part | Choice | Price we found |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Intel Core i3-12100 (box, with cooler) | about Rs 27,999 (tray about Rs 22,700) |
| Motherboard | Gigabyte H610M-K DDR4 | about Rs 23,700 to Rs 24,490 |
| RAM | 8GB DDR4 | about Rs 17,000 to Rs 17,999 |
| SSD | Kingston NV3 512GB NVMe | about Rs 17,599 |
| Case | 1st Player Go 2 micro ATX | about Rs 8,500 |
| Power supply | Cooler Master CMP 351+ 420W | about Rs 7,480 (out of stock at one shop) |
| Total | about Rs 102,000 |

Prices checked 13 October 2026 on the shop and price comparison pages listed under Sources. The Core i3-12100 (without "F") has built-in graphics. A tray processor usually comes without a cooler, so add one if you choose it.
To get to 16GB: a single 16GB DDR4 stick was about Rs 28,490 to Rs 34,999, so the total rises to about Rs 115,000. For most office work 8GB is usable. Check how many RAM slots the board has if you plan to add a second stick later.
Another option: the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G also has built-in graphics and six cores, but at about Rs 38,400 to Rs 44,900 it pushes the total higher.
Build 2: entry gaming PC, about Rs 2.3 to 2.6 lakh
This PC plays popular games at 1080p. The graphics card is the biggest cost.
| Part | Choice | Price we found |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 5600 | about Rs 33,999 to Rs 35,999 |
| Motherboard | Gigabyte B450M DS3H | about Rs 23,000 to Rs 28,900 |
| RAM | 16GB DDR4 3200MHz | about Rs 28,490 to Rs 34,999 |
| SSD | Kingston NV3 1TB NVMe | about Rs 39,000 to Rs 42,999 |
| Power supply | Corsair VS650 650W | about Rs 25,000 |
| Case | Dark Flash DK150 ATX | about Rs 13,750 |
| Graphics card, option A | RTX 3050 6GB | about Rs 67,000 to Rs 76,990 |
| Graphics card, option B | RTX 4060 8GB | about Rs 95,000 to Rs 114,999 |
| Total with RTX 3050 | about Rs 230,000 | |
| Total with RTX 4060 | about Rs 258,000 |

Totals use the lowest price we found for each part. Buying everything from one shop usually costs more but makes warranty claims easier.
Important: the B450 motherboard is older than the Ryzen 5 5600. Ask the shop to confirm the board's BIOS supports the 5600, or to update it before you collect.
Intel alternative: the Core i5-12400F was about Rs 35,800 to Rs 43,500, and works with an H610 or B760 board. It has no built-in graphics, so it always needs a graphics card.
Want more? An RTX 5060 8GB was about Rs 124,990 to Rs 159,990, which adds roughly Rs 30,000 or more over the RTX 4060.
Why memory costs so much in 2026
When we checked, 16GB of DDR4 cost about as much as a mid-range processor, and 16GB of DDR5 cost about Rs 50,999 to Rs 60,490. That is why both builds use DDR4 motherboards. For a budget PC, DDR4 makes the most sense until prices fall. Choose a board with four RAM slots if you plan to add more memory later, since the cheapest boards often have only two.
Do not forget these costs
- Monitor: a 24-inch 1080p monitor such as the ViewSonic VA240A-H was about Rs 28,000.
- Keyboard and mouse.
- Windows licence, if you need Windows.
- UPS or stabiliser. Power cuts and voltage swings can damage a PC. Plan how it will run during load-shedding.
Where to save money
- Start with 8GB RAM and add a second stick later.
- Buy a 512GB SSD now and add a second drive later.
- Reuse an old case, monitor or keyboard if you have one.
- Compare prices. The same RTX 4060 was listed from about Rs 95,000 to Rs 108,990 at two shops on the same day.
- Consider used parts carefully. A used graphics card may have been run hard for years. Test it under load before you pay, and ask for a warranty.
Buying tips
- Warranty: ask how long each part's warranty is, and whether it is the brand's or the shop's.
- Box or tray: tray processors are cheaper but usually come without a cooler. Ask what warranty each one carries.
- Assembly: many shops will assemble the PC for a small fee. Ask them to test it before you take it home.
- Power supply quality: do not buy the cheapest unbranded power supply for a gaming PC. A weak one can damage other parts.
