All prices checked in October 2026 on the retailer and price-comparison pages listed under Sources. Most come from one large retailer in Rawalpindi and Islamabad; the Haier page did not show a date, and two Haier models showed slightly different prices in two places, so we give both. Samsung prices are from listings dated June to August 2026.
LED, QLED and Mini LED: what is the difference?
All of these are LCD TVs lit from behind:
- LED: the standard type. Fine for most homes.
- QLED: adds a layer that gives brighter, richer colours. Costs more.
- Mini LED: uses many small lights behind the screen, which gives deeper blacks and better contrast. The most expensive of the three.
For a typical living room, a good 4K LED or QLED is enough. Mini LED is worth it if you watch a lot of films in a dark room.
Which size for your room?
A simple way to decide is to measure how far you sit from the wall where the TV will go:
| Distance from your seat to the TV | Size to consider |
|---|---|
| under 2 metres | 32 to 43 inch |
| 2 to 3 metres | 43 to 55 inch |
| over 3 metres | 55 to 65 inch |

A TV that is too large for a small room is tiring to watch, and one that is too small for a large room makes subtitles hard to read. Measure the wall too, including space for a cabinet or a wall bracket, and check that a power socket and the internet router are within reach. If the TV will hang on the wall, ask the shop whether the bracket fits that model and who will fix it.
Where to buy
- Brand stores and authorised dealers give the official warranty, and usually arrange installation.
- Large electronics retailers often have the widest choice, delivery and instalment plans. Ask whose warranty applies.
- Online marketplaces can be cheaper, but check the seller's rating, the return policy for large items, and how a damaged screen on delivery is handled.
Whichever you choose, open the box and switch the TV on before the delivery person leaves. A cracked panel is far easier to return on the day it arrives.
What to check before you buy
- Smart platform. Google TV and Android TV run most apps, including YouTube and streaming services. Check that the apps you use are available.
- Resolution. HD is fine at 32 inches. Pick Full HD or 4K for 43 inches and above.
- Warranty. Ask how long it is, whether it covers the panel, and where the service centre is in your city. Panel repairs are expensive.
- Voltage protection. Ask if the TV handles voltage swings, and consider a stabiliser if your area has them.
- Wall mount. Check whether a wall bracket and installation are included.
- Model number. Shops sell similar-looking models with different features. Compare the exact model number.
Paying for a TV
Many electronics shops and banks offer TVs on instalments. Some plans have 0% markup but a processing fee. Read our guide to buying electronics on installments before you sign.
